What I did this weekend:
-Friday – Went to party. Brought balloons and goldfish mix.
-Saturday – Did homework. Went to dinner at Chipotle. Saw movie.
-Sunday – Did homework. Cleaned apartment.
What Hugo Chavez did this weekend:
-Friday – Begins day as president of Venezuela. Ousted in military coup after 150,000 protest his rule. Is held captive in Caracas army base. Successor inaugurated. Global oil market tumbles.
-Saturday – Spends day in jail. Writes letter, saying he is still president of Venezuela. Hides letter in trash can. Sympathic National Guard corporal recovers letter and faxes it to media. Thousands protest coup. Successor resigns.
-Sunday – Freed by military captors. Returns to presidential palace by helicopter. Ends day as president of Venezuela.
