Spotted on Orrington Avenue

There was a house for sale, with a typical realtor post and sign in the front yard. On top of the sign, instead of "For Sale" or "Sold" or "Sale Pending," the rider read "Sorry, not open" in bold type. Maybe this is a new approach — the "go away sell" rather than the traditional "hard" or "soft sell." But if it works for Coldwell Banker's Nora Teeple, then fine.

I prefer the "Open" sign to the "not open" one. The "Open" sign would even work to Teeple's advantage, possibly, if she implemented some rhyming and hand gestures as well.

This place is for sale (rub fingers together)

And I'm Nora Teeple (point to self)

Come in the house (point to house)

And see all the people. (hand gesture to indicate people)

Think of it as a jingle.
