Duluuuuuuth, Georgia

They say there's place right across town, whenever you're ready. When people gather 'round, whenever they're ready. On Friday night, that place right across town was the new Gwinnett Arena, and people gathered around to hear Bruce in Duluth. Springsteen and the E Street Band rolled back into greater Atlantaland just three months after they had last left it. I didn't make it to front row this time or get band autographs afterward, but still a great time was had.

After taking a couple months off from touring, they seemed to have gotten all their energy back, mixing up the setlist some. The night's performances included the amazing "Candy's Room," which I'd never heard live before, and Bruce playing the wedding-perfect "If I Should Fall Behind" solo on the piano. The new arena was a good size too, like a full-size arena without the upper-deck. Capacity was 13,000, but it seemed smaller. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution was kind enough to take some pictures.

Thankfully, I had to work the next morning. I only got three hours of sleep, but being at work kept me away from being at home, where my browser would have undoubtedly found itself at Ticketmaster.com. Bruce and Co. put a record-setting seven Giants Stadium shows on sale. Temptation, temptation.

Thoughts?
