Coach K, bigger than the Beatles
Why woudn't he talk to Bonnie Bernstein at halftime last night? Does he have something against CBS? Does he have something against interviews? It's not like Bernstein was Ahmad and Duke was beating the '82 Tarheels.
Georgia Tech's Paul Hewitt sure showed up him up. Hewitt was as smooth behind the microphone during halftime as I'd ever seen any active coach, especially one whose team played a Final Four game only a couple hours earlier.
But the hours part too, you've gotta admit, was ridiculous. It took five hours and change to play two 40-minute college basketball games. Were they on MLB time? Where was Questec? Coach Norman Dale wouldn't have been pleased.
