A poacher who shoots at rabbits

I always forget Schopenhauer is an actual historical figure. I get him confused with Dr. Emil Schoffhausen. Which is too bad because Schopenhauer is a philosopher and Schoffhausen is a psychologist and not real. And then I read about Schopenhauer in the New York Times and am surprised at how well the paper knows Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

Unrelated, from the same story we get Herbert Muschamp giving us a sentence without explanaton. "When I was a freshman at college in 1966, I used to crash at Warhol's place on weekends."

The Observer thankfully explains, a little. "In 1965, as a freshman at Penn, Mr. Muschamp met Andy Warhol at an exhibit of the artist's work on campus. The two bonded quickly — perhaps it was their mutual Pennsylvania heritage — and soon Mr. Muschamp was making frequent weekend trips to New York, hanging out at the Factory, Warhol's studio, and imbibing the fervent downtown art scene of the late 60's."

Thoughts?
