A most reasonable 'fro

I loved The Tipping Point. Couldn't read it quickly enough. Gave a copy to my brother for his birthday and he didn't finish it for year. (Hi Rob!) But when he did, he was happy he did. Fast Company included a profile of Malcolm Gladwell in its January issue, and the piece fell short of the profiles Gladwell has written himself. But no great bother. I learned he grew up in a house without television, and that pretty much explained things.

Or did it? You see, while the television's content itself may be mindless, the mere act of manipulating the set's knobs (or buttons) and seeing the result reflected on screen teaches the kind of control and change systems that are valuable in the adult world. Brain surgeons will tell you, of TV-watching children they have operated upon, many appear to have stronger neurons in the cerebral cortex….

Thoughts?
