Snakes batted out
The Yankees get three T-shirts, two sweatshirts, a jacket, 10 hats, women's flannel pants, and women's flannel shorts. The Red Sox get three T-shirts, two sweatshirts, a jacket, six hats, and a bobblehead.
The White Sox get a T-shirt, two sweatshirts, two jackets, and a hat. The Cubs get a T-shirt, two sweatshirts, a jacket, and two hats. The Mets get a T-shirt, two sweatshirts, a jacket, and a hat.
The Cardinals get two sweatshirts, a jacket and a hat. The Giants get two sweatshirts and a hat, and so do the Tigers. The Phillies get a jacket and two hats. Even Oakland gets two sweatshirts.
But in MLB's special St. Patrick's Day merchandise, the Nationals just get one hat. It's a nice little hat, but that's it. And it could be worse. The Pirates don't have anyting yet, and the Angels Blue Jays, Brewers, Diamondbacks, Devil Rays, Marlins, Rockies don't even make the list. But I think the league underestimates the Washington area's wearin' of the green.
Maybe the new stadium can bring some merchandise. Maybe whoever unofficially printed the "Frank Robinson for President" T-shirts can somebody print more. Maybe the roaming hot dog vendors can one day make it into the upper deck.
We wait 'til next year.

[...] In 2007, we got one hat, and eight teams got nothing. In 2008, we got nothing, but only 13 teams got something. In 2009, we got zero but so did four other teams. Last year, when the world was bright, with Stephen Strasburg nearing the hill, we beat 13 other teams. [...]
