Not the hat everyone rushes to wear, but …

You win your division, win your league, win your championship, you put on a hat. You put on the hat, put on the shirt, you spray the bubbly. The officials have everything printed up, telling the world what you've won. If the win is close, they destroy the other half of the goods. Then they sell the good half to the public. It's a moment in time.

But who wears wild card gear? MLB has printed wild card gear for the Yankees and the Rockies, and it's hard to see anyone on either team wearing it. With the sport e-mailing fan this morning, it's hard to see them donning it either. We all scrape by together! And our apparel is thankful for playoff expansion! Whatever your feelings are on the wild card, let's be honest. It's not the best resume material.

Of the gear out today, the only piece I can possibly imagine someone wearing is the Yankees Wild Card hat. One would need to be Daddy Yankee or maybe Jay-Z, and they would need all 64 bars to explain about fighting their way through the backdoor and into prime time. Then they would have a metaphor that make sense. Cause they're wild! And struggled but are talented and now successful!

They would also need the Yankees to win the World Series.

I've been told they don't destroy the loser's shirts and hats, they sell them in third world countries.

Maybe on the moon, they sell t-shirts that say, "Nats Win Series."

With the feed, I could get one, but then I'd never see your shining face.

Thoughts?
