The weekend in Chicago

The weekend in Chicago was great and very quick. Didn't top five hours of sleep any night and somehow destroyed my left foot walking miles around Evanston and Chicago. Reuniafest was an Henkel-created monster of a good time. There was a mini-bus, an Escalade limo, a rented bar, NU Family Feud, commemorative pint glasses, and more good friends than you could count. If you could only count using your toes. I didn't go to the game, but heard from the finale from outside the stadium, sitting on a tree stump alongside my friend the T-shirt guy. If you're a friend on Facebook, you can see lots of tagged photos there; if not, Eliina has a great batch on Flickr.

Did the good times help the Indians triumph in extra innings? One couldn't be sure. But it was excellent to learn Hillary discovered the surround shower project online — further finding it both amusing and disturbing — as she began dating Adam. Apparently, a posting in this blog has become the second result in googling "Adam Henkel," following his work page.

Among the many other parts of the weekend, Karen was a terrific host as usual — and acquired my Halloween costume — my fantasy team roared to 5-0 on the supermodel-embracing arm of Tom Brady.
