My seventh sense
Identifying a Springsteen song backed by the E Street Band performed by an entirely difference artist in a minimal number of notes upon first listen. A few years on the Container Store stereo, it was Darlene Love and All Alone on Christmas. Last week on the radio, thanks to WBIG's Guilty Pleasures, it was Gary U.S. Bonds and This Little Girl.
Also with Bonds, Wolfgang's Vault has audio of a great '81 show. I've gotten better at hiding this seventh sense ("Brucesense") in public … and resisting limited cuts of songs I don't love on formats I can't play. I've come a long way from Cory Arcangel's glockenspiel temptation.
