If tonight is the last night of the E Street Band
The rumors point that way, and the year does as well. Could they do another tour? I think so. They would need Bruce to do a better album than he did this time around — material to thrive on. Brendan O'Brien gives them nothing except, sometimes, guitar solos. It's so strange to think things would end in Buffalo. Instead of, say, 30 straight nights in Jersey. I respect Buffalo a great deal — hello, Muscatos — but the end of this tour is a random act of tour organization. I don't know how you end our beloved band, I guess. Maybe that's why most never end. Or why you start playing your best album almost every night and playing other albums to revisit the highlight, good times every other night. It's difficult to guess the next move now. None of them seem the retiring types. Maybe the final date is tonight or still out there. But 'til then…
