If you love Zooey Deschanel and guitar

The good people at Glorious Noise — a broken "Rock and roll can save your life" clock hangs high on my wall — surfaced the new She and Him video today. Sorry to Lindsay, sorry to my shy 18-year-old self, when I did laundry with Zooey in the dorm freshman year, I should have tried to say something. America tips its caps to you, Mr. Zooey Death Cab.

And I know drums+piano have bigger parts here. Still, I like the guitar.

Today was not a bad day for music. Heard Born to Run on the radio this morning, and an all-the-way-through version at that, which is rare with my dial-surfing. Then, on the evening drive, Hollywood Nights into Don't Stop Believin'.  Finally the trip home from Grey's watching brought Alive and Kicking. YouTube has an unembeddable but sweet remaster.

Damn. If only Jonathan Taylor Thomas had avoided getting knocked over on his campus tour and decided to attend. Then I'm sure you'd understand.

She & Him's "Volume 1" was one of my most-played albums of 2008. Awesome!

Big Poppa! Thanks for the rec, listening on Lala now.
