Just keep listening to the night
Maybe your week didn't fit the calendar. Maybe your hour didn't match the clock. If you want to get back in sync, you keep going. If a stopped clock can do right twice a day (or an abandoned calendar once a year), imagine your chances. So, you just keep going, listening to the night.
One of my favorite songs about working to get back in sync is off Pet Sounds. "Come close, close your eyes and be still," the words in line with the slow beat, "Don't talk, take my hand and listen to my heart beat," with a quiet urgency to connect, "Listen… listen… listen…" and the beat emerges more. Strings build, but you know they're extra.
Keep listening, and then on your side of the table, you hear something spinning the right way through the air, damned if you can catch it, but the sound goes spinning and suddenly you're spinning with it, holding tight to the night. The week fits. The hour matches. You keep going…
Alejandro Escovedo, Always a Friend. A free play of the best version.
Wasn't I always a friend to you?

Do you wanna be my friend?

Every once in a while honey let yourself go
