Then the mini-cannolis disappeared

After the night of 1000 pies, Tuesday was Sheri and I visiting Domaso in Rosslyn, where we've been talking about going for nearly two years.

Hello, you Restaurant Week! My meal involved a Malbec, pan roasted mussels, penne alla norma (with a momentary flashback to the penne at Trattoria Demi), seared Long Island duck,  and milk chocolate pana cotta, surrounded by mini-cannolis. I'd inhaled two before I was able to get my camera from my bag. The service couldn't have been nicer. When you're shaking the waiter's hand on the way out the door, you know you've done well. It was actually meeting the chef at Taste of Arlington this summer that reminded me to go. Cool guy. Enjoyed the space too. Big but well used. Need to try the bar's river porch soon.

I hit up Againn last night, on the of the only things that reminds of ol' Londontown – it was really good. They had a delicious salmon with crisped skin and eggplant purée – polished it off with a nice Lagavulin 1991 Distiller's – tastes like you're drinking liquid silk.

Good to hear. I'd read the NYT description when it did that K Street-ish roundup (and been to Kushi and Taylor) but hadn't known anyone who'd been there. I'll have to check it out sometime.

Thoughts?
