Washington suddenly doesn't feel as cold
Cousin Tim, who as you know lives north of Alaska's Arctic Circle with his wife Michelle, took this picture from his front window on Saturday. There was a blizzard, and the wind chill was around -50 Fahrenheit.
When you run the photo through Picasa's "I'm Feeling Lucky" filter, you get a lot of graininess but also a sense of the storm's coarse attack.
Running the photo through Photoshop Elements' "Auto Smart Fix," you get a more balanced image, maybe representing the eye's view best.
Any way you run the photo through software, you get cold, cold, cold.
