Who knew Arlington had its own Transformer?

Spotted on my walk to the Metro yesterday morning, on the block next to Arlington Police Department headquarters, an urban assault vehicle.

Click below to enlarge and marvel at its Transformer-like bad-ass-ness. I don't know what they use this beast for, but I don't want to find out.

(Okay, so I do want to find out. Fiercest car ever parked in Arlington.)

This whole category of news is amazing and sad.

Last time I checked, Arlington Police aren't involved in running gun battles where they need this kind of firepower. There hasn't been a series of dangerous attacks in Arlington warranting this sort of intimidating vehicle.

Beau! So serious. And clearly you've never been between me and the deep-fried Oreos at the Arlington County Fair. I am basically this vehicle.

Thoughts?
