To mark the 40th anniversary of the Beatles’ famous Ed Sullivan show appearance, David Segal of the Washington Post finds perhaps the best storytellers possible ““ the comedy duo that bombed between the Beatles’ two sets. Read their story here (free registration required).
On the flip side, while the style of his single may be among the more interesting of the pack right now, apparently Howie Day is a bit of a dud in performance. The Post reviewer writes: “It’s hard to imagine another event as tedious as Howie Day’s performance Wednesday night at the 9:30 club. Lawn bowling comes to mind, but at least that has slow-motion flashes of excitement.”
