When I was a kid, the FAO Schwarz store in Washington’s Mazza Gallerie carried a singing flower toy. When you flipped the switch, the flower pot would start playing some song and three flowers in sunglasses would start bouncing back and forth with musical instruments. It was very California Raisineque.
I never got the toy, but it came to mind the second I saw this story: Japan Gadget Turns Plants Into Speakers. Turned out Gizmodo covered the invention back in July and I missed it there. But they got pictures.
